Canon Jan Naylor Cope visits St. Matt’s Jan. 24

Please welcome The Rev. Canon Jan Naylor Cope from the National Cathedral when she visits St. Matthew’s Sun. Jan. 24. Canon Cope will speak in our Clingman Forum after the 10a service.

Canon Cope was appointed provost of Washington National Cathedral last April, she’s been at Washington National Cathedral since 2010, where as vicar she was involved in formation, outreach, pastoral care and stewardship. She holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Virginia Theological Seminary and serves the Board of Governors of Wesley Theological Seminary. Canon Cope is a contributing meditation writer for The Bible Challenge, a Forward Movement publication.

Canon Cope gave the keynote address at the 48th Triennial Meeting of the Episcopal Church Women at the 2015 General Convention of the Episcopal Church this past summer. View the video below.
