Daniel Worley. A native of Louisville Kentucky, Daniel has a D.M.A. in Music Composition from the University of Michigan and a B.M. in Theory/Composition (Guitar emphasis) from the University of Louisville. He’s received commissions from the Albany Symphony, Tulsa Philharmonic, SEAMUS/ASCAP, and saxophonist Timothy McAllister among others. His dissertation, Freak Show, was the first concept album accepted as a dissertation by a major composition program. In the last 15 or so years Daniel has: built and run two recording studios; produced, recorded and/or mastered more CDs than he can remember, including records from his roots-rock band CityGoat and his experimental improvisation ensemble, the Trace Trio; taught composition, electronic music, orchestration, counterpoint, guitar, music production, and the History of Rock and Roll, at UofM, UofL, and Centre College. He is currently performing as often as possible as a guitarist and/or singer-songwriter, with both with his acoustic-folk-jam duo Simply This, and the wonderful vocalist Jennifer Diamond.

Jennifer Diamond, has been singing as the Principal Soloist for The Temple-Adath Israel B’rith Sholom, here, in Louisville, since 1999, and has been a member of their professional High Holiday Choir, since 1998. In addition to liturgical and classical music, she continues to perform jazz standards, as often as possible, with some of the best jazz pianists in town, including Todd Hildreth, Kendall Carter, and Winton Reynolds, and last summer, had the pleasure of singing with the Jerry Tolson Quartet. Ms. Diamond has been self-employed, as a full-time Private Voice Teacher, since 2000, teaching adolescents to adults of all ages and loving every minute of it! She was a Guest Vocal Instructor for the Vocal Dept. at the Youth Performing Arts School, from 2006-2014, and continues to have a vested interest in the program. Jennifer received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory and her Bachelor of Music from the University of Louisville. In the past, she performed two summer seasons of Opera & Musical Theatre at The Seagle Colony, in Schroon Lake, NY, as well as Summer-Stock Musical Theatre with the Mac-Haydn Theatre in Chatham, NY, and sang 5 seasons with the KY Opera Chorus. She has enjoyed singing on projects with Cantor David Lipp & Cantor Sharon Hordes, at their respective synagogues, with many other talented local musicians, in a variety of genres, most recently on a live radio-show taping of John Gage’s Kentucky Homefront. Other endeavors include writing original music and poetry, as well as performing and recording with her close friend and über-talented colleague, Daniel Worley, on acoustic guitar.
