Our trip to St George’s on March 31 is intended to bring together whites from the East End with blacks from the West End of Louisville to discuss race and reconciliation. It is not intended as a means to garner support for St George’s Scholar Institute. It’s a discussion about race and reconciliation.
We have a facilitator who will lead our discussions. This is an opportunity to deal positively with the experiences and emotions that continue to divide this city.
We’ll be guests of St. George’s staff, board members and parents of students. There’ll also be a tour of the center and light refreshments will be served. There is limited parking at St George’s, so we will meet at St. Matthew’s at 6:30p and car pool there. We will return around 9p.
If you plan to attend, please email Mary Johnson so we can know how many to expect.
