1. Celebration of Children’s Poetry Apr. 10. after the 10a Eucharist in the church library.
Children in 1st-5th grade will hear selected poems that speak to the power of spoken word — humor, happiness, anger, and life lessons are all a part of poetry for children. Beginning at 12p parents and parishioners are invited to hear the children recite poems themselves.
2. Clingman Forum Spirituality of Poetry Event, Sun., Apr. 17.
If you are a dreamer, come in,
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer…
If you’re a pretender come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
— Shel Silverstein
